Helsinki freezes

Just days away from the official entry into spring in the northern hemisphere, the Finnish capital Helsinki was set to see temperatures dip to minus 10 on the centigrade scale, or just 14 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.

Does this sound very much like global warming to you?

Astana

Close to the beginning of spring, Astana the capital of Kazakhstan was minus 6 degrees centigrade. Just days ago it was an extremely chilly minus 20 degress celcius. No Global Warming here then. Indeed across northern latitudes of the globe, below freezing temperatures were the norm - with emphasis on the 'norm' - as in nothing unusual!!!

Scottish blizzards

Well on the way to the middle of March and the coming of Spring blizzard conditions affected numerous areas of Scotland with low temperatures and widespread travel disruption.
