Astana

Close to the beginning of spring, Astana the capital of Kazakhstan was minus 6 degrees centigrade. Just days ago it was an extremely chilly minus 20 degress celcius. No Global Warming here then. Indeed across northern latitudes of the globe, below freezing temperatures were the norm - with emphasis on the 'norm' - as in nothing unusual!!!

Scottish blizzards

Well on the way to the middle of March and the coming of Spring blizzard conditions affected numerous areas of Scotland with low temperatures and widespread travel disruption.

Almost a Full White House

The beginning of the year sees 49 out of 50 US states (even Hawaii) with snow on the ground. Hardly an advert for global warming, but be sure there will be those who insist this is a definite sign that the planet is heating up!! Count on it.
